Avraham Shalom Levi is an award-winning Israeli actor, screenwriter, and showrunner whose work is defined by its emotional depth, critical acclaim, and remarkable versatility across film, television, and theatre.

 

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Levi's journey in the arts began early, leading him to pursue formal training abroad. He is a distinguished graduate of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and continued his academic pursuits in Film and Media at Hunter College in New York, where he also founded "Huzpah," an ensemble dedicated to Israeli Theatre.

 

Upon returning to Israel, Levi became a prolific playwright and creator, tackling complex subjects such as PTSD from his military service in his powerful one-man show Zvika the Soldier, which performed across Israel for over a decade. Levi achieved industry-wide recognition for his multi-faceted role in the television drama series Unsilenced, where he served simultaneously as showrunner, head writer, and a lead actor. This ambitious creative leadership was lauded by the industry, garnering multiple prestigious Israeli Television Academy Awards, including Best Drama Series, Best Script, and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance.

 

His talent extends to the cinematic world; his compelling supporting role in the feature film Valeria Is Getting Married, an official selection at the Venice Film Festival and Israel's Academy Award submission, earned him an Ophir Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Furthermore, his extensive television credits include performances in acclaimed series such as Shtisel, My Successful Sisters, and The Good Policeman.

 

A dedicated educator, Levi shares his expertise by teaching acting and public speaking at leading institutions, and he continues to drive future projects, including the upcoming feature film Farewell Dough and two new television series, cementing his status as a profound and vital creative voice in international storytelling.
